I have recently found out that I lost one of the small rubber caps that seals the headlight and water/moisture have went in to the headlight unit with dust. Is there a way to clean the plastic lens?

I believe it could be cleaned. Should cost no more than HK$500 (for a pair).

Cleaning the lens of the TT involves a lot of work, not a dismount and lens unclipping simple work as those on BMW/MB. So, definitely not a ~$500 job. You'd better ask the garage about the charge and let them do the estimate, and see if the garage or you are willing to pay for it.

For the plastic cover, you can get it replaced at DCH. And, no matter with or without that cover, the headlight housing is not sealed air tight. Once you had seen the whole thing being taken out, you'll know what I mean.

Thanks for the reply. I actually have takened it out. I know that the cover is "baked" together. I was thinking of taking the electrical parts out n flush it with water n shake it.

Great that you know how it is being put together... in awkward way. Your proposed method *may* work but not that perfect. As the dust inside can't be just rinse way without rubbing, and water mark will be left inside once dried.

Since the whole thing is out, consider taking the lens apart from the whole housing, by either the 'bake method' or 'knife method'. Clean it with your bare hand with mild detergent. DO NOT RUB or you will leave swirl mark on the lens, which will make it looks even WORSE than dirty. Once done, stick them back together and put the clips back. The sticky gum will stick itself back together after a short while, no worry.

You may put cleanser, shake it clean, rinse and blow dry which should not leave any watermark.

Bu the way, I did pay once HK$ 380 for cleaning my headlamp.

Yea, heard about this shake shake method and saw its result done by a place we know.... oh well.... I picked the way used by many other TT'ers around the world instead. Those stain built up inside the TT headlight is caused by static, which normally can't be rinsed off completely easily and this had been tried before by many TT'ers including myself. And of course, unless you are not a perfectionist...

But hey, why not give it a try first then decide if you want to do it a sure fire way.
